Contest time!

Friday, December 23rd, 2011

Starting now and running until January 31, 2012 at 11:59 PM EST, every review of the free serialized audio production of my novel LILITH’S LOVE hosted at Podiobooks.com will be entered into a raffle to give away a FREE signed, inscribed paperback of LILITH’S LOVE!

All reviews posted at Podiobooks.com as a comment will be automatically entered. If you want to earn an extra raffle entry, you may post reviews elsewhere (iTunes, Amazon, Smashwords, etc.) but you will need to leave a comment here on this post to let me know you’ve done so!

Once the contest has ended, I will announce here on the blog the name of the reviewer who has won the book. That user will have to contact me if they wish to receive their book and where I can ship it to.

Good luck, and enjoy!

Happy Hallowtide!

Saturday, October 1st, 2011

Hey folks, the Kindle version of LILITH’S LOVE is now only $2.99, and you should soon see this being updated in the other major eBook stores as well. Some of the slow ones might still have it as $3.99 or higher but they will eventually all drop. Of course, you can still set your own price at Smashwords.com for a DRM-free eBook, and the audio version is still free to listen to at Podiobooks.com. This is just my way of saying “Happy Hallowtide”, or Season’s Greetings! ;-)  You say you still prefer the paperback? Amazon has it for only $7.49. Of course, if you order it from me directly (same price), I’ll happily sign it for you before I send it your way.

Speaking of signing books, have you heard about Kindlegraph.com? This is a free service that gives authors a way to autograph Kindle (or actually any) books. They way it works is, you visit Kindlegraph.com and search for your favorite author, or just go straight to a link, like let’s say http://kindlegraph.com/authors/DanS42 for example, and you request an autograph for your eBook. The author gets an email and then visits the website to fill out a form with an inscription and then sign it. That then gets emailed to you. If you provide the email address for your Kindle reader, that Kindlegraph goes right to your Kindle and can be viewed anytime. If you don’t have a Kindle, you just provide any email address and a PDF will be emailed to you. So, in all actuality, this can work for paperback and podiobooks, too. Pretty slick, huh? Sure it’s just a virtual bookplate, but it is a cool service that makes it easy for authors and fans to use. I dig it and will be happy to send anyone a Kindlegraph anytime!

Before I go, I’ll humbly ask, if you wouldn’t mind posting a review (on Amazon, Podiobooks, iTunes, Smashwords, or wherever) to spread the word, I’d really appreciate it. Also, don’t forget to visit my new Facebook page at http://facebook.com/Shaurette.Dan.

Thanks, you all rock!

The podiobook is complete!

Saturday, August 21st, 2010

So at long last, the podcast audio adaptation of LILITH’S LOVE is complete! Is it perfect? No, of course not. I may go back and remaster some parts of it. I am always of the mind that a novel, and now any production based on one, is never finished.

I would like to thank Evo Terra for encouraging me to produce a podcast version, giving it a home on Podiobooks.com, as well as providing one of the many voices in the cast.

So what’s next, besides an eventual remastered edition? Well, naturally there’s the sequels. Yes, two. LILITH’S LIGHT and LILITH’S PEACE. Neither is complete. I dare say these projects alone will keep me busy for a while to come.

But that’s not enough; I am also writing prequels. Prequels featuring characters that appear in the sequels but NOT in LILITH’S LOVE. Yes. I’m insane. Certifiable. And you wouldn’t have me any other way.

In the meantime, if you enjoyed the podcast version and feel like donating, please do visit Podiobooks.com and leave the donation there. You’ll be supporting them AND my part of the donation will go directly to the American Cancer Society.

Finally, most of you know, but let me reiterate for those that don’t, Michelle and I host the Out Of The Coffin podcast all about vampires. Free time now means back to more regular episodes there. Huzzah!

Delays

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

I am writing to you all from my phone. This is because my PC has crashed again and I’m in the process of determining what can be salvaged. Beyond my health issues, this has been the largest factor in the many and persistent delays in producing the final episodes of LILITH’S LOVE.

I promise you all that as soon as I can, I will be releasing the episodes here and on the mirror sites. I want to thank you for your patience. Those of you leaving comments, please know that I appreciate your words and know that I would have responded sooner had I the chance.
June has just been a terrible month around here. I am eager to see it gone and move on with the production post haste.
Thank you all,
Dan

Mea culpa

Thursday, June 17th, 2010

Folks, we do apologize for the delay in not only episodes here but over at OutOfTheCoffin.com. Computer problems, summer vacations, and random octopus incursions are keeping us all very busy. We are still planning to release the next episode in June (yes of 2010, thank you very much), with the final episodes to follow in short order in July. Hang with us. We’re getting everything in order, we promise!
